Can I buy a one way ticket to go to the Philippines for 2yrs if I have a green card?

I am an immigrant and planning to go back in the Philippines to pursue my academic career. Here in the US I cannot afford to go to college. I will finish my 2 year degree there and I'll be back in the US to be a citizen. Is it possible that I can leave the US territory and just buying a one way ticket going there. Is it allowed?

1. You MUST file an I-131 with USCIS BEFORE you leave the USA. File at least 90 days BEFORE leaving.
2. File your Federal Income Tax return from the Philippines. You MUST file.
3. You will not come back and apply for US citizenship. Once you leave for more than 6 months you break your period of consecutive residence. You'll have to come back and start over.
4. Do NOT stay outside the USA for 1 day longer than 2 years.
